Beyond the mock-Tudor front of the Gallery, there is the Post Horn. This used to be an inn, when the Royal Mail was carried by a stagecoach and four, and was a stop over on the route from Lancaster to Newcastle; now it is a tea shop. Behind that is one of the three banks (HSBC, NatWest and Barclays), and the Post Office.
