6 - The Alleyways

When shopping in Sedbergh, it's important to take time out to check out what is going on behind the shops. There you will find a network of little alleys that lead you to picturesque cottages, yards and some commercial properties. It's well worth spending some time investigating.

Look out for Weavers Yard, with Weavers Cottage, which has a traditional wooden balcony (supposed to be where the spinners and weavers would work to maximise the light).
